When Tantastic is worth considering

Consider Tantastic if you want clear phases during a session and somewhere to keep completed sessions afterwards. Its Journey combines optional baseline and progress photos with session history.

You do not need to create a Tantastic account. Photos are stored inside the app on your iPhone. Read our privacy policy for the distinction between on-device records and the Apple and RevenueCat services used by the app.

When to look more closely at Beam

Beam’s App Store listing includes iPad and Apple Watch, which makes device support a useful question if your routine involves more than an iPhone.

Check the current subscription screen before deciding. Compare the specific routine you would use, what remains available without payment, and how cancellation works. Device support alone does not establish that every feature works identically on every device.

Compare privacy and cost without guessing

Both apps describe some local photo handling. Do not assume that a single photo-storage statement covers all app data. Read each privacy label and policy, including information about purchases and third-party services.

We have not assigned a price winner. Storefront, trial eligibility and subscription offers can change. Compare the renewal period and total price shown on your own purchase screen.

Choose around your actual use

If guided phases and a private iPhone timeline are your priorities, start by looking at Tantastic. If support for other Apple devices is a deciding factor, examine Beam’s current device-specific offering.

If you only want a UV number, you may not need either. See how to find it in Apple Weather. For a wider shortlist, read our Beam alternatives guide.
